Whether your car fleet is with Leaseplan, Arval, ALD, Alphabet or elsewhere, as a main constractor, you (CFO, CHRO , Management Controller, Fleet manager etc.) should be aiming to standardize the quotation reading in order to compare the competing car lease suppliers on a like-for-like basis.
The car lease price is often submitted as a total rent including services you’ve selected for your corporate drivers.
However, the total rent breaks down into financial rent and services, namely:
Financial rent + Roadside Assistance + Maintenance / Repairs / MOT + Tires + Replacement / Relief vehicle + Insurance + Accident management + Fuel card + Management fees = Total rent

🚗 For increased transparency, always ask your lessor for the rent breakdown..
🚗 Also ask your lessor to show on your lease quotation The car residual value The overall car discount (= lessor’s discount + car manufacturer’s discount + car dealer’s discount)) The investment The APR (Annual Percentage Rate) The excess mileage cost The delivery costs
🚗Eventually, after running your checks, the quote may seem attractive at first, but beware of hidden costs. To better compare the competing car lease quotes, ask your sales representative if : Delivery costs are included Car registration fees are included Taxes are included or excluded (it differs accross lessors and countries)
